About This Service

March 11, 2026 Service. Join us for worship with Faith Worship Arts, followed by a prayer devotional by Pastor David Slaton.

In this message, we look at how prayer moved the early church throughout the book of Acts. Prayer wasn’t a routine or a last resort—it was the driving force behind their boldness, their direction, and the powerful ways God moved among them. In Acts 4, the believers prayed for courage in the face of opposition, asking God to enable them to speak His word with boldness and to stretch out His hand in power. In Acts 13, prayer and fasting positioned the church to hear the Holy Spirit’s guidance, sending Barnabas and Saul into the work God had prepared for them. And again and again we see that when the church prayed, God acted—Peter was freed from prison, worship shook the foundations of a jail, and impossible situations began to change. Prayer connected them to God’s power and presence. As Jesus promised in John 14, when we ask in His name, God works so that the Father may be glorified through the Son.
