In this message, we explore the power of intercessory prayer and why praying for others is central to the Christian life. Looking at Moses’ prayer in Exodus 32, we see a leader who stood in the gap for God’s people, appealing to God’s character, faithfulness, and promises rather than his own desires. His example reminds us that intercession is more than presenting our burdens to God—it is allowing God to place His burdens on our hearts. As we pray according to God’s Word and His will, our hearts become more compassionate, our faith grows stronger, and we become active participants in God’s work. Ultimately, intercession points us to Jesus, our perfect Intercessor, who continually stands before the Father on our behalf.
