About This Service
October 28, 2026 Service. Join us for worship with Faith Worship Arts, followed by a message from Pastor David Slaton.
As we continue our series through the book of James, we’re taking a closer look at how genuine faith changes the way we see and treat others. In James 2, we’re reminded that favoritism has no place in the life of a believer. God calls us to love others without judgment, regardless of their appearance, status, or what they have to offer. We’re challenged to adjust our vision, abandon favoritism, and act in mercy by treating others with the same love and grace that God has shown us. True faith isn’t about showing love only to those who can benefit us; it’s about loving people the way Jesus does. Through this message, we’ll explore what it means to look beyond outward appearances, recognize the value of every person, and live out God’s command to love our neighbors as ourselves. Just as Christ showed us love and mercy when we didn’t deserve it, we’re called to extend that same love to others. Are we seeing people through the eyes of Jesus, or are we allowing favoritism to shape how we treat them?
