In this message, Pastor Johnnie reminds us that it’s easy to get caught up in what we do and forget why we do it. Through Matthew 15, we discover that the mission of the Church is about more than filling seats, running programs, or creating great environments. It’s about helping people encounter Jesus. As we bring others to Him, we’re also reminded that Jesus cares for us and wants to meet our needs, too. We can’t pour into others while neglecting our own relationship with Him. We are called to be more than a crowd; we’re called to be a community that serves, loves, and reaches people together. When we remember what Jesus has done for us, we find the courage to give more, serve faithfully, and make room in our lives for others to encounter Him. No matter what it costs us, we can live on mission because we’ve never forgotten our why.
