About This Service
August 16, 2026 Service. Join us for worship with Faith Worship Arts, followed by a message from guest speaker Brad Rosenberg.
In this message, we were challenged to see people the way Jesus sees them through Colossians 3:12 and Mark 6:34. Compassion is more than simply feeling sorry for someone—it is a deep, intentional love that moves us to action. Just as we choose what we wear each day, Paul calls us to intentionally “put on” compassion and make it visible in the way we live. Through the work of Convoy of Hope, we were reminded that compassion sees the people the world overlooks, runs toward crisis, and meets both immediate needs and long-term potential. Whether feeding children, responding to disasters, serving communities, or helping someone right in front of us, everyone can do something. We were encouraged to take off frustration, fear, indifference, and discouragement and put on compassion instead. Because we don’t have to help—we get to help. And through One Day to Feed the World, we were challenged to give one day’s wages to help provide hope and nourishment to children around the world.
