About This Service
May 10, 2026 Service. Join us for worship with Faith Worship Arts, followed by a message from Joanna Reeves.
This Mother’s Day, we look at the story of a struggling widow in 1 Kings 17 who felt like she had nothing left to give. Single, discouraged, and surviving day to day, she believed her lack disqualified her from being used by God. But instead of avoiding her, God sent the prophet Elijah straight to her door. Through this powerful story, we’re reminded that your lack doesn’t push God away — it often pulls Him closer. Shame has a way of making us hide from God, convincing us we’re not enough, don’t have enough, or could never do enough. But God specializes in using what feels small, broken, and insufficient. What she called “only a handful,” God called enough for a miracle. This message is an encouragement to trust God in seasons of lack, stop minimizing what’s in your hands, and remember that your security is not found in your supply, but in the God who faithfully provides day after day.
