About This Service
August 2, 2026 Service. Join us for worship with Faith Worship Arts, followed by Week One of Lost Things with Pastor Johnnie Wilson.
In this message, we explored Jesus’ parable of the lost sheep in Luke 15 and discovered the heart of God for those who have wandered. While religious leaders criticized Jesus for welcoming sinners, He revealed that every lost person is deeply valuable to the Father. Like sheep, we can easily drift without realizing how far we’ve gone, but God’s response is never indifference—it’s pursuit. We were challenged to develop the heart of the Good Shepherd by caring for people the way Jesus does. Rather than waiting for broken people to clean up their lives, we are called to seek, welcome, and carry them home with compassion. Finally, we were reminded that heaven celebrates every sinner who repents, and the Church should do the same. A healthy church isn’t defined by comfort or tradition, but by its joy when lost people encounter Jesus and find their way home.
