In this message, we were challenged to recognize how easily sin can cause us to believe lies, focus on what we think we lack, and ultimately hide from God. Through Genesis 3, we see that temptation often begins subtly—with questioning God’s Word and goodness—before leading us away from trust and into shame. What began as a desire for something they thought God was withholding eventually caused Adam and Eve to hide from the very God who had created them. Sometimes we hide behind busyness, success, church involvement, perfectionism, or the image we project to others. But God already knows where we are, and His question, “Where are you?” is not condemnation—it is an invitation to come out of hiding. The Gospel reveals our sin not to shame us, but to heal us, cover us with grace, and restore our God-given identity. We don’t have to hide anymore.
